Seaside Festive Celebrations at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai

Lavish Christmas and New Year celebrations are on offer at the glamorous beachfrontMandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubaithis festive season. A majestic canopy of frost-white lights and other seasonal decorations will create the perfect festive atmosphere for guests to enjoy a series of activities and culinary treats at the resort over the holidays.

For a merry holiday gathering,Noor Lounge’s Festive Afternoon Tea will be available from 5 December, featuring a delectable array of scones, finger sandwiches, cakes and other tasty bites.

Beautifully decorated Christmas cakes, petit gâteaux, gingerbread houses and panettones will be available atThe Mandarin Cake Shop. Guests can spoil loved ones by gifting them an elegantly wrapped Festive Hamper packed with Christmas biscuits, chocolates, Panettone and other mouth-watering seasonal delicacies.

Christmas menus will be offered at the resort’s highly acclaimed restaurants on 24 and 25 December, including an extravagant buffet of international festive favourites atThe Bay, the relaxed brasserie-style restaurant with two terraces overlooking the beach. On Christmas Day, Santa will delight children by making a special appearance at the restaurant to bring them gifts.

Tascaby Michelin-starred José Avillez will recreate a traditional Portuguese feast for guests on 24 and 25 December. Decorated to resemble a Christmas market, the lively restaurant will offer a sharing-style menu featuring codfish, roast turkey, flavoursome desserts and other seasonal dishes. Signature drinks and melodious Portuguese music will add to the celebratory mood.

On New Year’s Eve, guests will be able to choose between several menus and live entertainment options at the resort’s restaurants. AtThe Baysoirée, guests can ring in 2020 with the moon-lit Arabian Gulf as an alluring, magical backdrop.

AtTasca by José Avillez, a celebratory menu will be available, with views over the sparkling Dubai skyline. Omisoka, meaning the last day of the year in Japanese, will be honoured in style at Japanese steakhouseNetsu by Ross Shonhan, where diners can indulge in an appetising five-course sharing menu followed by live music.

To help guests unwind and experience the ultimate in holiday pampering,The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubaiwill launch the Rose 02 facial from Ling New York specially for the festive period. The treatment begins with a face, neck and shoulder massage, followed by a Rose O2 mask and Energy Lift treatment to cleanse, revive and rejuvenate the skin.

Children will be thrilled by the many fun-filled activities at the resort’sLittle NomadsKids’ Club over the holidays, ranging from Crazy Scientist experiments, which will include making fake snow and peppermint slime, to cookie decoration and festive arts and crafts, culminating with an end of year Talent Show that will be as enchanting to parents and exciting for children.
