Founded in 2015 and named after Syrian Jewellery designer Sumaya Bakkar, the homegrown jewellery brand presents a collection of fine jewellery pieces that’s available worldwide.

Sumaya Bakkar Collections presents necklaces, earrings and bracelets with a unique, minimalistic and timeless design that narrate a story. Sumaya aims to create jewellery that becomes an extension of the wearer’s identity, an inherent part of one’s narrative. A perfect combination of beauty and pleasure seeking, Sumaya Bakker Collections is a reflection of Sumaya’s love for art and design.

Originally from Syria, Sumaya was brought up in a family that shared a special affinity for art and sciences. A literary enthusiast herself, Sumaya wrote poetry and penned her first novel at the age of fifteen. Later, she specialized in Emotional Intelligence and Personality Development and delivered trainings for years. Sumaya also wrote her first book (Psychological Elegance) emerging from the belief that attraction and beauty starts from one’s inner self and radiates to the surface. Inspired from her story-telling genes, she has instilled the same thought into her collection.

All pieces from Sumaya Bakkar Collections are handcrafted and designed in gold alloys and diamonds at the art hub of Dubai, Alserkal Avenue. The collection broadly features gold ear-rings, hand rings, necklaces and bracelets. Every piece is built on high quality finishing using angles, lines and geometric designs away from curved shapes to reflect ambitious, independent and elegant character.

“I have always been deeply inspired by art and culture from my childhood days. I wanted to channel my creative instincts into creating something that is not only visually appealing but that also has a voice. My pieces are straight from the heart where every piece has been specially detailed, cut and carved into perfection,” says Sumaya Bakkar.

Sumaya is also all set to launch the autumn and winter collection this season. The collection presents inlaid diamond rings, bracelets and necklaces crafted in 18K gold. In one of the designs, she has combined grades of Sapphire autumn colors with diamonds creating a striking contrast. She has also used enamel and green peridot in some of the designs to offer a contemporary collection of elegant and every day jewellery that inspire successful woman.
