Vibrant touches of colour and beautiful fabrics energise the hotel’s interior spaces, while exquisite artwork, another Campbell Gray Hotels hallmark, can be seen all over the hotel. Gordon Campbell Gray was personally involved in every element of the design supported by Summit Interior Design based in Bahrain. Much of the furniture has been specially designed and made for The Merchant House. The hotel houses a collection of over 200 pieces of original artwork from both international and local Bahraini artists featured across the lobby, public spaces and suites.
Accepting the award, Justin Kim, General Manager, The Merchant House said: “Our team is thrilled with the accolade. Everything in the hotel is individually designed from fabrics, furniture to specially curated art collection and the dramatic graffiti pillar in the lobby. We are delighted that our incredible design is being recognized across the world.”
With its warm welcome, striking aesthetics, world-class art collection, impressive library and the spectacular rooftop restaurant and garden, The Merchant House – part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World – is the jewel in the crown of Bahrain’s hotel scene.
