SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES (SAUDIA) NOW OFFERS FREE NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES VIA THE APP
Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, continues to introduce new services available on its mobile app. The latest is access to free reading materials, newspapers and magazines, right at their fingertips.
How it works is when guests check in for their flight using the SAUDIA app, they can immediately access a range of digital publications to be downloaded for offline use.
Guests can access the content 48 hours before flight, until 6 hours post arrival time.
The newspapers come in many languages; Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam. A few of the popular titles include: Okaz, Asharq Alawsat Arriyadiah, Al Eqtisadiah, Arab News, Urdu News Malayalm.
This list of publications will continue to be updated with more newspapers, magazines and digital content in the months to come.
Currently, the SAUDIA app provides a number of services, and allows guests to book and manage their flights, check-in, obtain flight information and timetables, book a hotel as well as manage their frequent flyer program profile and miles – for members of Al FURSAN.
The SAUDIA app has been downloaded more than 5 million times since it was released in early 2015.
Providing guests with a seamless, convenient user experience through the mobile app is part of SAUDIA’s mission to provide guests with an enjoyable end-to-end journey, and enabling self-service options through mobile and technology integration.
SAUDIA continues to improve its app with monthly updates with new and unique features.
The first in the world to introduce a free social media messaging app, guests flying with SAUDIA can stay connected with five of the most popular and widely used applications.
Included in the plan is texting up to 10 MBs, which can be used on any of the included five chatting applications: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Instagram chat and WeChat.*
More than 100 aircraft in the airline’s fleet feature SAUDIA’s latest state-of-the-art inflight entertainment systems and features, including onboard WiFi and more than 4000 hours of Hollywood premiere and latest television shows, box sets, music, multi-language, international, and children’s programming, as well as digital and audio books and much more.
SAUDIA flies to more than 90 destinations worldwide, with a modern fleet of narrow and widebody Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The average age of the SAUDIA fleet is less than five years.
As SAUDIA prepares for the upcoming summer season, three destinations will commence in June: Athens (Greece) on June 5; Malaga (Spain) and Marrakech (Morocco) on June 6 respectively.
