PUMA REOPENS DOORS IN THE KINGDOM

After a fleeting break, PUMA is back in the Kingdom with its first store opening in Jeddah. Stronger and faster than ever, the global sports brand’s return to Saudi Arabia brings in a new era.

It is important for PUMA to not only bring the latest collections, but also convey its signature brand culture to the Kingdom. With that in mind, four key opinion leaders were asked to give a glimpse of Jeddah through their eyes – and of course PUMA was there to document the city through the lens of Jeddah’s industry veteran, George Daou. This gave life to the short video “PUMA x Jeddah”, an ode to Jeddah.

Art, culture and wisdom. These are just a few of the words Nour Hassan, the founder of Radical Contemporary, used in PUMA’s homage to the city. Her script, voiced by Farah Fahad Hammad and combined with shots by Heef Ashy, Lina Malaika, Mohanned Shobain and Nouf Sufyani aka Cosmicat, illustrate the things that make Jeddah truly unique.

PUMA gathered the game changers, the defiant and the progressive – who together depict the singular identity of Jeddah. On one hand there is Heef Ashy, the emotional and spontaneous photographer who captures the beauty of Jeddah and its people through his lens. He is joined by Lina Malaika, a true jack of all trades. She is a creative director, stylist and filmmaker – bringing her unique point of view to “PUMA x Jeddah”. Adding basketball to the mix is Mohanned Shobain, founder of Swish KSA. He is the embodiment of sport culture, which drives PUMA’s values. Finally, Nouf Sufyani, better known as Cosmicat, is an electronic DJ and music producer representing the original sound of Jeddah.

One thing is for certain, there’s no better way to walk Jeddah’s historical streets than in a pair of PUMAs. The newness and excitement that is coming to the city is showcased throughout “PUMA x Jeddah”, with some of the latest PUMA collections such as the Unity Collection, PUMA x Mr. Doodle, the RS-2K and more.

These collections, as well as many others, can be found in the new PUMA store, located at Tahlia Street – Al Nojoud Center. The store is now open and welcomes all to step into the world of PUMA. The Jeddah store is the first in an expansive roll-out plan. 2021 will see PUMA stores opening in Riyadh as well as Al Khobar.
