MB&F: awarded twice at the GPHG, including the “Aiguille d’Or”

There are lots of watchmaking awards… but one prize ceremony stands above all the rest, without discussion: the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, aka GPHG, the “Oscars of watchmaking” which took place once again in Geneva.

We’ve had our fair share of awards at the GPHG these last years, winning no less than 7 prizes, in 7 different categories:
– 2010: HM4 wins Best Concept and Design Watch;
– 2012: LM1 brings home two awards, the Public Prize and Best Mens’ Watch;
– 2016: LM Perpetual wins Best Calendar Watch;
– 2019: LM FlyingT takes the Best Ladies’ Complication;
– 2022: two prizes, with Best Mens’ Complication for the LMX and LM SE Eddy Jaquet winning the Artistic Crafts award;

… but we were missing one award, the ultimate prize: the “Aiguille d’Or”, which rewards the best watch of the year overall.

We are extremely pleased and proud to announce that the LM Sequential EVO was awarded last night the Aiguille d’Or.

Coincidentally, the timepiece which adds this ultimate trophy to our collection, the LM Sequential EVO, happens to be our 20th calibre in just 17 years. Our special thanks go to the members of the GPHG Jury, the members of the GPHG Academy, all our Friends who have supported and followed us in our wildest projects… and of course, the one-and-only Stephen McDonnell. Stephen has dedicated the last 5 years of his life to the LM Sequential EVO, as Max explained in his speech.

But that’s not all! Cherry on the cake, the M.A.D.1 RED was also awarded in the ‘Challenge’ category, making it a double win and the 9th GPHG award for MB&F.
