After 7 hours flight from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur, we checked in into Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Towering over Kuala Lumpur’s skyline majestically, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is ideally situated right in heart of city’s liveliest entertainment hub and most happening shopping districts as well as being merely 15 minutes away from the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers.

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the city is conveniently linked and is easily accessible by various modes of road transportation. By car, the hotel is 45 minutes and 30 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Skypark Terminal, Subang) respectively. Alternatively, by train, it takes approximately 28 minutes from KLIA to get to KL Sentral (the city’s transportation hub) where guests can transit to take the monorail to the hotel which is just 6 minutes away.

For families and shopaholics, one could always visit the Berjaya Times Square Shopping Mall located just next door. The mall houses more than 950 shops and service outlets and over 65 food and beverage outlets. Entertainment wise, the mall also has the country’s largest indoor theme park, Berjaya Theme Park

We did return to this wonderful hotel again for one night before flying back to Abu Dhabi. Berjaya Times Square hotel is the ideal hotel to stay in when visiting the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The highlight of the trip was visiting Redang Island, a beautiful Island in the east coast of Malaysia with crystal clear waters. The accommodation was hosted by The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort. The journey to the island starts from flying to Kuala Terengganu Airport. The flight time from KLIA2 to Kuala Terengganu takes about one hour. After arriving at the airport, we went to Taaras Airport Lounge which offers guests a welcoming atmosphere while waiting for the land transfer to the jetty.
Once the boat transfer was ready, we quickly jumped on a speed boat. It took us approximately 45 minutes to reach the resort on this beautiful island. It was love at first sight.

It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the wonderful surrounding nature. The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort provides guests with unforgettable views of the ocean waters, alluring landscapes of the garden, cliffs and ocean through its 190 luxurious rooms and suites.

Other than enjoying the private beach, the resort also offers activities such as quad biking around the island, snorkeling with the turtles, Scuba Diving and of course various spa treatments.

In support of turtle conservation, SEATRU Turtle Lab at The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort was launched in 2018 to provide sea turtle conservation and educate guests on the plight of the sea turtle. The lab is managed by The Taaras’ very own marine biologist who works with a team of SEATRU Scientists and trained research assistants from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Guests will be guided through the sea turtle life cycle from nesting and hatching through to species identification, measuring and tagging sea turtles, and understanding natural predators. During the hatching season, guests are able to experience hatchlings being released into the sea.

One night in this wonderful island is definitely not enough. On my way back to the airport, I was already planning my next trip to the Island with a big smile on my face.

After arriving back in Kuala Lumpur, we went to Berjaya Hills by road. It took us about 2 hours drive from the Airport to reach at our destination. We checked in at the French-themed The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort. The resort sits majestically on Berjaya Hills amidst a lush tropical rainforest. Located on an unspoilt land and 3,000 feet above sea-level, it is a spa resort offering wellness retreat and wellbeing enrichment.

Being a wellness resort, one should not miss La Sante Spa – a wellness spa with steam, sauna, aroma hydro pool (Jacuzzi) facilities offering various types of organic spa treatments.

The weather is just nice with the temperatures between 16 OC to 25 OC. The places to visit and experience in the area are Berjaya Hills Golf & Country Club, Colmar Tropicale (a French-themed village), Horse Riding and Japanese Village.
