DISCOVER THE BEAUTY OF HOLLAND WITH CONSERVATORIUM HOTEL

Conservatorium Hotel, located in the heart of Amsterdam is offering guests the opportunity to discover the wonders of Holland, by launching ‘Escape the City’ daytrips to multiple locations around the country. Guests can getaway from the crowded city centre and visit areas such as the Beemster Polder, a UNESCO World Heritage site that’s an oasis of scenic polders, waterways, restored mills and traditional farmhouses, just 30 minutes away from Amsterdam. Other daytrips will lead to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe, where the Kröller-Müller Museum houses the second-largest Van Gogh collection in the world and one of one of Europe’s largest sculpture gardens. The cultural tours also include visits to historic towns surrounding Amsterdam such as an old fisherman’s village, a picturesque windmill village, or the town of Edam, where guests can learn the art of Dutch cheese-making.

Conservatorium is an architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design. Guests visiting from September will be able to experience Amsterdam’s crown jewels at their doorstep while also exploring wonders of the Netherlands’ history and nature through this new offer. The ‘Escape the City’ package includes a two night stay at Conservatorium Hotel with breakfast, as well as the day-trip of your choice including transportation.

The ‘Escape the City’ package includes:

• Two-night stay in a Deluxe Guestroom including breakfast for two guests
• ‘Escape the City’ day-trip itinerary including transport

The “Escape the City” package is available from €1035 per night, including VAT, and excluding 7% city tax, subject to availability. It is bookable from October 13th 2019 through April 9th 2020 and valid for stays from September 23, 2019 through April 7, 2020. Kindly note that this package needs to be reserved 14 in advance.

The options for daytrip excursions:

• Water and Countryside
Located approximately 30-minutes north of the city lies an abundance of traditional villages including Marken, Volendam, Edam and Zaandam, among many others. Visitors can immerse themselves in traditional Dutch culture with such hallmark sights and experiences such as historic windmills, learning the art of Dutch cheesemaking, sampling traditional Dutch herring, and exploring the Beemster Polder, a Unesco World Heritage site that’s an oasis of scenic polders, waterways, dikes, restored mills and charming farmhouses.

• Mauritshuis and Delft Factory
Guests will travel to the canal-ringed city of Delft, where they will learn about the history of the iconic blue-and-white pottery at the Royal Delft factory, which has been in operation since 1653. The factory, which is the last remaining production facility of Delft Blue earthenware, hosts painting demonstrations, a museum, and the opportunity for guests to paint their own Delft Blue item. The next stop on the excursion is the Mauritshuis art museum, situated in the heart of the Hague and home to a renowned collection of Dutch Golden Age paintings. Masterpieces such as Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp” by Rembrandt, “The Goldfinch” by Fabritius and “The Bull” by Potter can be discovered at this location.

• Kröller-Müller Museum
Located just outside Amsterdam in the small village of Otterlo is the Hoge Veluwe National Park. Within the park is the famed Kröller-Müller Museum, which houses the world’s second-largest Van Gogh collection. The Van Gogh Gallery displays varying selections of approximately 40 works from the artist. Masterpieces by modern artists such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian can also be found here.
