Cuban Restaurant Havana Social Club Spices Up Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai

The prohibition era comes to Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai in the form of a brand new Cuban joint Havana Social Club. Located on the ground floor of Dubai’s hottest 2019-hotel opening, the vibrant restaurant takes guests back to a glamorous time of jazz-filled nights and the smoky cabaret clubs of Havana. Delivering an eclectic mix of authentic Cuban bites, expertly mixed cocktails inspired by recipes from the 1920s, live music sessions and a curated Cuban cigar collection – Havana Social Club is set to become the city’s coolest hangout

Perfectly placed as a retreat from the fast approaching summer heat, Havana Social Club’s vibrant interior evokes the vibes of its namesake country. Canary yellow walls and teal blue shutters blend stylishly with black and white checkered flooring, creating the perfect Instagram backdrop and ideal spot to catch up with friends over Cuban bites and exotic cocktails. Tucked away in the back – with its colorful scuffed walls, polished wooden floors and prints of characters from Havana’s past – the music room where a roster of live musicians transform the venue at night into a true Cuban salón de baile

Located off the brightly tiled central bar area, Havana Social Club’s Cuban Humidor-equipped cigar lounge takes a more sophisticated turn. Chesterfield-style brown leather sofas, wood paneling and exposed brickwork add a masculine design edge. Here, guests can lounge, relax and savour an enviable selection of 30 Cuban cigars, while sipping on a wide variety of new and vintage Caribbean rum

Those that like to perch at the bar – elegant cocktail in hand will love Havana Social Club’s chic bar area. Centered round a dramatic bamboo light installation, the circular bar is the ideal place to pull up a moss green leather pew and settle down to watch expert mixologists at work. Highlights from the menu, designed to take guests on a journey through 1920s prohibition Havana, include the ‘Havana Mojito’, the perfect bubbly twist to the original, a Tequila Old Fashioned – a Cuban take on the traditional blended tipple; and the classic Daiquiri, a cocktail invented in Cuba during the time of Spanish-American war

Alongside Havana Social Club’s drinks menu, a light menu of authentic Cuban bites will help fuel a night of dancing. Highlights from the menu include Frituras De Malanga (deep fried taro fritters & coconut flakes, cilantro, scallions, secret Havana sauce), Curuetas De Boniato (turkey ham, pickled mango, habanero chili, mango yellow pepper sauce) and Tacos Asado De Pollo (Caribbean slaw, pickled cucumber, crusted chicken, asado sauce, scallions, Cuban guacamole)

There’s also a selection of ‘Manos’ including Atias De Pollo (boneless chicken wings marinated in Cuban coffee with smoked BBQ sauce) and Oven Baked Vaca Samosa (beef picadillo, raisins, olives, cumin spice, sambal mojo, avocado aioli); and ‘Dulce’ such as Cinnamon Sugar Churros with a decadent chili-spiced 70% valrhona chocolate dip

Transporting guests from Bluewaters to Cuba every Wednesday with live music and spontaneous dancing, ‘Noche Del Ron’ is the chance to enjoy unlimited rum cocktails and two bar bites for just AED 175 per person from 7pm – 9pm. On Thursday nights, Havana Social Club hosts ‘Alama Latina’ – a ladies night offering three hours of complimentary wine and cocktails from 8pm – 11pm. Combining live music, professional singers and dancers and unlimited cocktails, these weekly fiestas are the perfect pre-weekend excuse to party Havana style
