CRAZY DIAMONDS – TRADITION WITH A TWIST

S.T. DUPONT introduces the Crazy Diamonds collection – a free interpretation of an iconic jewellery motif known as “Diamond Head” or “Clue de Paris”- injecting a contemporary and edgy feel to a traditional line. The contemporary inspiration comes from futuristic architecture, light reflection, and plays on volumes and shapes. The Crazy Diamonds decor is Made in France at the S.T. Dupont atelier. In keeping with the jewellery tradition, the metal has been worked on like a precious stone, creating dazzling facets reminiscent of a diamond, hence the name “Crazy Diamonds”. The collection includes three New Line D pens (one Ball Point, one Roller-convertible, and one Fountain Pen) and one Line 2 lighter.
CRAZY DIAMONDS – THE TECHNIQUE
The graphic design lighter is based on goldsmith know-how on palladium. The lighter is a unique bloc with two types of finish’s techniques:

  • Large facets front and back, which are reflecting the light.
  • Pure, shiny and smooth trigger and sides. The facet motif can be fully appreciated on a flat / quadrant surface; i.e. the motif seems to expand outwardly.

The graphic design pen is made with master lacquered technique and goldsmith know-how on palladium. The pen cap is a unique bloc with two types of finish’s techniques:

  • Sensibly-sized facets on the cap, which are reflecting the light.
  • Pure, shiny and smooth clip.
The narrow facets manage to give the cap a “bombe” effect but also; due to their placement; seem to elongate the overall shape of the pen.
