Al Nabooda Automobiles, the authorised distributor of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, was the official automotive sponsor of the recent UAE Tour 2023, ensuring that the world-recognised UCI World Tour stage cycling race proceeded smoothly and safely throughout the week-long race.
As part of this significant partnership, Al Nabooda Automobiles provided the UAE Tour with over 60 Audi models to support the iconic race. These included the Audi S8 which served as a lead car at the start of each stage, and the A8, which transported key VIPs to and from the event.
Numerous Audi Q models were also provided to each individual team as support vehicles, demonstrating their versatility and overall functionality for those with athletic or adventurous lifestyles. Each of the models were used to the best of their capabilities throughout the race stages, delivering reliable, comfortable and spacious capacity for the Tour teams during the race.
UAE-Team Emirates rider Adam Yates, made it to the mountain finish at Jebel Hafeet in an exhilarating final stage to the race and secured third place overall, just behind Australia’s Luke Plapp, of Ineos Grenadiers, with Remco Evenepoel claiming overall victory by 59 seconds.
K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles, said: “It is an pleasure to be involved once again with the UAE Tour team and support them on this world-recognised UCI event as it returned to the region. Seeing our full fleet of Audi cars is wonderful, and watching them support during all stages from the opening flat legs, to the grande finale up one of the highest mountains in the United Arab Emirates, Jebel Hafeet, where we can certainly say our SUV line up comes to life.”
The UAE Tour is a seven-day UCI World Tour stage race, which includes opening flat stages in the desert and culminates with arduous climbing days. It is the only UCI World Tour event in the Middle East.
