Align Technology, Inc. (“Align”) (Nasdaq: ALGN) a leading global medical device company that designs, manufactures, and sells the Invisalign® system of clear aligners, iTero™ intraoral scanners, and exocad™ CAD/CAM software for digital orthodontics and restorative dentistry, has reinforced its commitment to further transforming the standards of orthodontic care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) at the 17th Annual Conference of the Saudi Orthodontic Society that took place on February 24 and 25 in Jeddah.
The highlight of Align’s participation was the launch of its new Invisalign Moderate™ package in Saudi Arabia. Invisalign Moderate is an option to treat patients who require mild to moderate teeth correction and do not need to go through comprehensive treatment. The introduction of the Invisalign ModerateTM package and further expansion of treatment options for doctors and patients in KSA, underscores Align’s commitment to supporting Invisalign trained doctors by offering the best tools for optimizing their practices and improving patients’ overall experiences.
Angelo Maura, General Manager Middle East at Align, said the company’s continued support of the conference demonstrates its commitment to orthodontists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, raising the standards of doctor-led orthodontic care and promoting greater awareness among the community. “We have a strong presence in the Kingdom, and our solutions are highly regarded by clinicians for not only driving exceptional clinical outcomes but also a world-class patient experience. With the introduction of the new Invisalign Moderate package, Invisalign trained orthodontists will now have even more treatment options and flexibility to treat their patients, based on their individual needs.”
The Invisalign Moderate package is a maximum 20-stage clear aligner treatment option within the Invisalign system product portfolio, designed to treat mild-to-moderate indications, such as crowding and spacing, anterior-posterior issues, and vertical discrepancies.
The Invisalign Moderate package includes the three key elements that power the Invisalign system: SmartStage™ technology to program each tooth movement in a certain sequence at the right time to achieve better outcomes and treatment predictability, SmartTrack™ material, Align’s own patented aligner material that provides gentle, more constant forces to improve control of tooth movements, and SmartForce™ features, attachments and features designed into the aligners that deliver the precise forces when needed to achieve more predictable tooth movements.
In addition to showcasing this innovative solution at its booth, Align also sponsored a half-day workshop on “advanced techniques and biomechanical principles in the management of complex cases,” presented by Dr. Solano Beatriz, a professor of orthodontics and Align Faculty member. The session covered the management of complex malocclusions and the need for a deep understanding of biomechanical principles and techniques to successfully treat those cases. After discussing case examples of how Dr. Beatriz successfully treated complex malocclusions through detailed planning using Align’s ClinCheck Pro® 6.0 software and careful chairside execution, participants gained a deeper understanding of clear aligner biomechanics.
The Invisalign ModerateTM package is now available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
