Created by Dim Sum Master and Wok Chef, Head Chef Yang Tao (Frankie), Zhen Wei’s distinctive menu combines authentic Pan-Asian flavours and modern cooking techniques and presentation. Enticing dishes such as traditional Whole Beijing Duck, Kalbi-Spiced BBQ Short Ribs with kimchi and picked jalapeño chili and Cantonese Seabass with toasted sesame oil and soy sauce tantalize taste buds with exotic flavors of the east. One highlight of the menu is the 14-strong Dim Sum section which includes Hong Kong Chicken Char Siu Bao, Shanghai Pan-Fried Beef Bun and Four Seasonal Shrimp Crystal Bag.

The Zhen Wei experience continues to the last bite, with distinctive signature desserts such as Cantonese Papaya Puff made with a crisp sweet pastry surrounding a papaya compote center and Spring Apple Sticky Rice Cake with chilled rice pudding. To wash it all down, guests can chose from a selection of traditional Chinese tea including a rare Jasmine Pearl Tea, China Yunnan Green and China White Silver Needle sourced from the Fujian Province of China.

At Zhen Wei, Chef Yang Tao leads a team of specialty chefs making unique and outstanding dim sum, Peking duck, hand-pulled noodle dishes and many more Pan Asian delights derived from his extensive knowledge and use of traditional ingredients and techniques. When asked about the restaurant’s special cooking techniques he said,“Smoking is an age-old cooking technique used around the world and one of my favorites for creating a truly distinctive flavor. This is highlighted with dishes such as the Earl Grey Tea Smoked Chilean Sea Bass to deliver that distinct Pan-Asian flavor. We have also sourced the finest produce, so that each dish has a ‘star’ ingredient with other spices and flavours playing supporting roles. By keeping things simple, we allow the flavours at Zhen Wei to really shine.”
